East Farleigh Village Plan Launch
Members of the Village Plan Committee and the Parish Council, met representatives of several influential organisations to discuss the future of the Plan at a launch party at East Farleigh Club on Saturday 13th June 2009.
Those invited included Maidstone Borough Council Cabinet members, our County Councillor, Medway Valley Line and the Action for Communities in Rural Kent.
Presentations were made by John Wilson the Chairman of the Parish Council to Elaine Coleman and Glyn Charlton, the Chairman of the Plan Committee, to thank them for their particular input over the last year.
Glyn thanked the committee for all their hard work which had resulted in the successful final document.
He talked about the formation of the Action Group, which would take the Plan forward, and a toast was proposed to the future.
The Local Brownies served the food and drinks and were presented with bookmarks by the Deputy Mayor to thank them for all their help.

THANK YOU!
I would just like to say thank you to ALL those kind people who drop stamps off at my house when I’m out or posts them anonymously. I obviously cannot thank you personally but this is just to let you know that your kindness is much appreciated.
Thanks also to everyone else who collects used postage stamps for Leukaemia Research.
Please continue to do so.

GREAT NORTH RUN – UPDATE
To bring you up to date, I completed the run in a time of 1 hour 54 minutes which is 3 minutes better than last year.
One of the things which really spurred me on was the Red Arrows flying overhead as we crossed the Tyne Bridge just after the start.
A huge thank you to all of you who have sponsored me. To date I’ve raised £1,720 so I’m well on my way to reaching my target of £2,000 for Leukaemia Research.
For those who have pledged sponsorship but have not yet paid, I would be grateful if you could let me have your donation as soon as possible, either by cash or cheque or by visiting my Just Giving web site on www.justgiving.com/johnwilson3 (Some people have had trouble logging on but this is definitely the correct address).
If you have not sponsored me and would like to give to this worthwhile cause – it’s not too late!
John Wilson
